Komen for [Preventing] the Cure reverses course on Planned Parenthood funding cut

Komen for [Preventing] the Cure reverses course on Planned Parenthood funding cut By Lori Price, 04 Feb 2012 The Susan G. Komen for [Preventing] the Cure foundation works hand-in-hand with corpora-terrorists dumping pollutants, which keep breast cancer rates high. Komen has NO INTEREST in finding a cure for breast cancer. Komen exists only for Komen, and that's always been the case.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure Vice President Karen Handel drove the foundation’s decision to defund Planned Parenthood for purely political reasons, according to emails reviewed by The Huffington Post.

“The emails show that Karen Handel was behind the entire decision to defund Planned Parenthood,” The Huffington Post’s Laura Bassett told CNN’s Soledad O’Brien Monday. “She was behind the strategy to develop the new criteria for who can be funded and she’s been behind the PR effort to clean up what’s happened since the decision was announced.”

“What I understand is that Karen Handel, since she was hired back in April, has been kind of pumping up and magnifying the attacks against Komen and the anti-Planned Parenthood protests and whatnot, and trying to get the board and trying to get Komen leadership on her side as part of this decision to defund Planned Parenthood.”

But then who hired Vice President Karen Handel?  Was it Ari Fliescher of Bush and AIPAC fame, eh?

Well, I believe that the controversy faced by Komen led to doubts regarding their commitment. That is why Susan Komen attempts to deflect heat from Planned Parenthood decision. Susan G. Komen for the Cure has done a lot for the fight against breast and cervical cancer, but the organization's recent conclusion to pull its financing of Planned Parenthood has drawn critical fire. Komen CEO Nancy Brinker is attempting to gloss over the truth that the business is pulling financing for 16 of 19 Prepared Parenthood clinics by exclaiming that the media's depiction of events is “a gross mischaracterization.” Good thing the charity will reverse its decision to cut breast-screening grants to Planned Parenthood. Well, in my opinon, the thought of cutting funds should have never been considered in the first place. They must stay committed about their MISSION in saving women's lives!
