Oakland Zoo animals test puncture-proof soccer balls 16 Sep 2013 Ralph weighs 600 pounds and is a century old, but he still likes to play. But his age makes him a bit picky. Now staff at the Oakland Zoo, where Ralph the giant tortoise lives, have found what they hope is the perfect toy for him -- an indestructible soccer ball. As part of the One World Futbol Project, Ralph has been putting all 600 pounds to work testing the new ball, which doesn't need to be pumped up and never goes flat even when punctured many times by thorns or barbed wire (or lion's teeth).
