Obama creates indefinite detention system for prisoners at Guantanamo Bay

Obama creates indefinite detention system for prisoners at Guantanamo Bay 08 Mar 2011 President Obama signed an executive order Monday that will create a formal system of indefinite detention for those held at the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, who 'continue to pose a significant threat to national security.' The administration also said it will start new military tribunal trials for detainees prisoners there. The executive order recognizes the reality that some Guantanamo Bay prisoners will remain in U.S. custody for many years, if not for life.

This entire situation truly amazes me. This guy has broken every promise he made to con the public into putting him in office and still the sheep give him a 50% approval rating. Is there not a single democrat willing to challenge him in 2012, anyone?

It was nice to see him in Wisconsin, Indiana and Ohio fighting for union rights though. Oh, that's right, he was in Florida with Jeb Bush, maybe he hopes Jeb will let him be VP.
