Jim Powers resigned two weeks after Gov. Ed Rendell said that he was "deeply embarrassed" by revelations of a $125,000 contract with the Philadelphia-based Institute of Terrorism Research and Response.

Israel considers peace activists a threat. So does the U.S. So does any imperialist war economy. If peace broke out, they'd lose trillions of dollars in weapons sales, defense contracts, and military budgets.
