PITTSBURGH/BEAVER, PA - Citizens
for Legitimate Government (CLG), a non-partisan, pro-Democracy action group,
will continue its protest of the appointment of George
W. Bush as President, with a protest of his first visit outside of Washington,
D.C., after addressing the Joint Houses of Congress.
Citizens For Legitimate Government wishes to remind the public that George Bush not only has no mandate to enact his agenda, he was not elected, and has no legitimate right to rule in a democratic nation.
From the voter purging scandal
uncovered by Gregory Palast of the BBC and The Nation, to the recount
showing Al Gore as the winner of Florida, the truth that the Occupant of the
White House has no legitimate claim on his office will inevitably emerge.
Citizens for Legitimate Government is a
strategic grassroots group recently created by concerned, tax-paying citizens,
after an activist U.S. Supreme Court abandoned its
Constitutional obligations and upheld the Republican Party’s efforts to
eliminate the democratic process from the 2000 presidential contest. The
members of the group refuse to recognize the Bush administration as legitimate.
More information on the group’s activities can be found on their website at www.legitgov.org.
