Winds ruin tent set up for Staten Island Sandy victims --'Nobody's come to help us.' 31 Jan 2013 Storm winds have ripped apart the main tent set up to offer food and lodging to Staten Island, N.Y. residents hit hard by Superstorm Sandy. The woman who runs the Cedar Grove Community Hub said she is desperate because the blue and white tarp structure in the hard-hit New Dorp Beach neighborhood is where she and other volunteers serve meals to Sandy victims. It is also where residents have had to sleep on cots because the hurricane left their homes without heat, water, or electricity.
