"Better Luck Next Time!" * CLG readers comment on Dick Cheney's recent spate of bad luck, including the failed assassination attempt in Afghanistan and the blood clot in his leg that could have "surged" to his brain. Cheney treated at hospital for blood clot --Vice president was experiencing 'discomfort' following overseas trip 05 Mar 2007 [Updated 06 March] Doctors discovered a blood clot in Vice President [sic] Dick Cheney's left leg Monday, a condition that could be fatal if left untreated. The 66-year-old Cheney, who has a history of heart problems, will be treated with blood-thinning medication for several months, said spokeswoman Lea Anne McBride. Comments received on the above CLG news update: Perhaps
Cheney ought to be treated on an outpatient basis at Walter Reed Hospital.
--MDR That's
too bad. But at least he HAS a calf to have discomfort in. That's more
than we can say for the thousands who've lost legs and other limbs in
his war of terrorism! A blood-clot--now there's the kind of 'surge' that
we need! Pray
for a quick and painless death. Too bad
the clot wasn't more aggressive....like its owner. Maybe
they found the blood clot that, for years, has cut off the proper flow
of blood to his brain? If he
ain't dead, I don't want to hear about it! Subject:
we have no Oh sure!
Tease us! OHHHH
what a disaster it will be if a clot does break loose and go traveling....
Bring me some good news later on, Lori!! ;-) Re.
Cheney's clot, you know the blood thinner he's probably on, Coumadin,
is also a rat poison. No kidding. Only
minor discomfort? Aw, shucks... :) Cheney OK after bomb blast 27 Feb 2007 An explosion outside the main U.S. military base in Afghanistan went off Tuesday as Vice President [sic] Dick Cheney was visiting, causing an unknown number of casualties but apparently not putting the vice president in danger, officials said. Cheney OK after bomb blast --Suicide bomber reportedly kills up to 23; Taliban says VP was the target 27 Feb 2007 A suicide bomber attacked the entrance to the main U.S. military base in Afghanistan on Tuesday during a visit by Vice President [sic] Dick Cheney, killing up to 23 people and wounding 20. The Taliban claimed responsibility and said Cheney, who was unharmed, was the target. Suicide bomber 'targeted Cheney' 27 Feb 2007 The Taliban say their aim was to target the US Vice-President [sic], Dick Cheney. But all the varying accounts of this morning's attack on the main American base in Afghanistan agree on one thing: that the suicide bomber didn't get anywhere near Mr Cheney. Comments received on the above CLG news updates: The
failed suicide targeting of Cheney proves this: When Cheney or Bush move
around in space, other people die. --MDR Yes,
it was like the ball rolling through Bill Buckner's legs during Game 6
of the 1986 World Series, from the perspective of a Red Sox fan. --LRP

you have any good news to report? What's
it gonna take?? LOL. Great...now
