From Montgomery Blair Sibley, Jeane Palfrey's attorney:
First, the hearing on the suppression motion of the so-called DC Madam, Deborah Jeane Palfrey, has been moved up to Monday, January 28, 2008. The trial of this matter remains scheduled to commence on April 7, 2008.
Second, District of Columbia Federal Judge James Robertson ordered the government to permit Ms. Palfrey to view the original documents seized from her home on October 4, 2006, for the first time since the seizure. This viewing will allow Ms. Palfrey to identify with certainty most all of the 130 escorts that worked for her during the 13 year operation of the escort service.
Last, and most important, the newly-appointed Judge temporarily quashed the subpoenas returnable on December 15, 2007, that Judge Gladys Kessler had authorized and previously ordered the U.S. Marshal's service to serve upon various federal intelligence agencies, law enforcement agencies and other individuals. This temporary quashing will allow Judge Robertson to reconsider Judge Kessler's order permitting these subpoenas. Additionally, Judge Roberston temporarily quashed a trial subpoena issued for the White House to produce records relevant to the prosecution of Ms. Palfrey.
