Blasts leave 5 dead in Afghanistan 05 May 2010 At least five police officers and a government official have been killed in a series of explosions that rocked the southwestern Afghan province of Nimruz. The blasts took place in the provincial capital, Zaranj, on Wednesday. Five other police officers have been injured. Taliban militants have reportedly claimed responsibility for the attacks.
