Danish base attacked in Afghanistan 05 May 2010 The Danish army says almost a dozen of its soldiers in Afghanistan have been wounded amid escalating violence in the war-weary country. Militants attacked the Danish base in Helmand Province late on Tuesday, injuring eleven troopers and two Afghan translators, the military said on Wednesday. Nearly 30 Danish soldiers have died in the war-torn country since the 2001 US-led invasion of Afghanistan.
