Suspicious Package Leads to Conn. Airport Evacuation 14 May 2010 (New Haven) Tweed Airport is now clear after being closed on Friday afternoon when a suspicious item was found. The suspicious item appears to be a home safe, Airport Manager Lori Hoffman.  It was found just outside the front door of the airport's terminal, she said. Two buildings were been evacuated and the airport was closed as bomb experts were brought in to help with the investigation.
