12, 2000 -- Another Day of Infamy
Yet theres another date that should be added to this list. On December 12th, 2000, we were not attacked by another nation, or by a group of terrorists, nor did we lose a President to an assassins bullet. Rather, we were attacked by an enemy within. This was an enemy of Democracy. This was an enemy which sought to stop Democracy in its tracks.
Stalin once said, its not the votes that count, its who counts the votes. Clearly, strongman bush and his band of collaborators took action to stop all the votes from being counted. This action, aided and abetted by the felonious five justices of the Supreme Court, stabbed Democracy in the heart. Our founding fathers surely have been spinning in their graves since December 12th 2000.
Following December 7th 1941, this country took up arms to defend a proud Democracy. Yet on December 12th 2000, this same proud Democracy was attacked and stolen from the American people in a successful coup detat which was further aided and abetted by most of the media and by a mostly indifferent and apathetic public.
For those of us who truly understand and appreciate what occurred on December 12th 2000, now is the time to act. Now is the time to do everything we can to enlighten, arouse, and awaken others as to the great travesty of December 12th 2000. So on this first anniversary of that infamous day, let us now vow to do everything we can to restore Democracy to our country on November 6th, 2004.
