The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. took over four banks in Chicago: New Century Bank (CBAO), with $485.6 million in assets; Citizens Bank (CZMO)&Trust Company, with $77.3 million in assets; Broadway Bank, with $1.2 billion in assets; and Lincoln Park Savings Bank, with $199.9 million in assets.

Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) has closed his Arizona offices after a man called and threatened to "blow everyone’s head off," his office said Friday. The man, who called Grijalva’s Tucson office twice, said he would then go to the southern border and "shoot any Mexicans that tried to come across," Grijalva spokesman Adam Sarvana said. Police were dispatched to protect the Tucson office, Sarvana said. He said no staffers have been injured and that the offices in Tucson and Yuma were closed as a precaution

The "information" filed today alleges that, responding to a request from the House oversight committee, Bloch failed to "state fully and completely the nature and extent of his instructions that Geeks On Call perform 'seven level wipes' on his [Office of Special Counsel]-issued computers" and the computers of two other appointees in the office. That was in late 2006.
